On January 7, 2025, an ICE officer shot and killed 37-year old Renee Nicole Good, a U.S. citizen and mother. At a press conference, Governor Walz said, “We have been warning for weeks that the Trump administration’s dangerous, sensationalized operations are a threat to our public safety. That someone is going to get hurt…today that recklessness cost someone their life…To Americans, I ask you this, please stand with Minneapolis. To Minnesotans, know our administration is going to stop at nothing to see accountability and justice.” In a press conference, Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem said, “she attempted to run a law enforcement officer over.” However, witness videos depict a different set of facts. While Alianza NC is not linking videos of the shooting here, they are readily available online. In the videos, Good is seen waving cars around her car which is in the middle of the street. ICE agents approach Good on the driver’s side of the car, saying “Get out of the F**king car.” The car reverses and tries to move forward, appearing to turn (in what looks like a 3-point turn). An ICE agent pulls his gun and fires at Good, who is driving the vehicle, both through the front windshield and the open driver window. ICE regulations prohibit the use of deadly force,  “Deadly force may only be used when and officer has probable cause that the detainee poses an imminent danger of death or serious bodily injury to the officer or to another person. Deadly force may not be used solely to prevent the escape of a fleeing suspect.” After the shooting, neighbors ask to administer medical aid, but officers refuse to allow medical care to be given. The ICE agent responds, “We have our own medics.” A neighbor is then heard yelling. “Where are they? Where are they? How can I relax, you just killed my F**king neighbor.” This is a developing story.

En una conferencia de prensa, la secretaria de Seguridad Nacional, Kristi Noem, dijo: "ella intentó atropellar a un agente de la ley". Sin embargo, los videos de testigos muestran un conjunto diferente de hechos. Si bien Alianza NC no está vinculando videos del tiroteo aquí, están fácilmente disponibles en línea. En los videos, se ve a Good agitando autos alrededor de su auto que está en medio de la calle. Los agentes de ICE se acercan a Good por el lado del conductor del coche y le dicen: "Sal del maldito coche". El coche da marcha atrás e intenta avanzar, dando la impresión de girar (en lo que parece un giro de tres puntos). Un agente de ICE saca su arma y le dispara a Good, que conduce el vehículo, tanto a través del parabrisas delantero como de la ventanilla abierta del conductor. Las regulaciones de ICE prohíben el uso de fuerza letal: "La fuerza letal solo se puede utilizar cuando un agente tiene causa probable de que el detenido representa un peligro inminente de muerte o lesiones corporales graves para el agente o para otra persona. La fuerza letal no se puede utilizar únicamente para impedir la fuga de un sospechoso que huye". Tras el tiroteo, los vecinos piden que se les administre asistencia médica, pero los agentes se niegan a permitir que se les preste atención médica. El agente de ICE responde: "Tenemos nuestros propios médicos". Entonces se oye a un vecino gritar: "¿Dónde están? ¿Dónde están? ¿Cómo puedo relajarme? Acabas de matar a mi maldito vecino".
